Welcome to week 6

What an interesting week... Abundance!!

Writing about God in our morning pages is going to be very interesting. Do we even believe in him/her? If we do, are they a wrathful, judgemental God? or a loving, compassionate God?

What about our thoughts on money? Money is really just a manifestation of energy.. neither good nor bad. It just is. But do we feel this? Do we ever feel we deserve to have that little bit extra? It seems that if we half kill ourselves in jobs we hate we deserve to have it but if we sit around doing something we love, slowly and in our own time.. then do we deserve to be paid? To do something we actually enjoy and that wasn't that hard...?! Do we really allow ourselves that?

Why is it that an artist who is broke is considered virtuous, while the one that earns a lot is somehow less so.. isn't this wrong?

As Julia reminds us "you are the cheapskate, not God.

Lets change NOW. Lets buy ourselves those luxuries NOW. Lets believe in our rights to abundance NOW.

There is no better time to transform. NOW is the time.

Hi, I've been occasionally trying to work through TAW for the last three years or so, but keep phasing out due to it only being me...

This group/blog/collection of like-minded people looks so perfect. May join you in your creative journey? I've worked through as far as week 6 several times, so I'm happy to do some catching up and then continue from where you all are if so!

Absolutely, do join us! Do you have a blog we can add to our sidebar?

Welcome!

Hehe, thank you for such a quick and warm welcome! I do have a blog, but it's an everything blog rather than an especially creative one...

But it's www.sunbeamsanddaisies.blogspot.com

I may very well start a new one for my Artist's experiences at some point, I'll let you know if I do :o)

Ah no problem at all. Mine is just a general blog too. There are no hard and fast rules here!

Lovely to have you on board.

I hired a cleaning lady this week and decided to bring my laundry to the launderette, so that I won't have precious time on the weekend doing household chores. I felt like a snob at first, until I decided to not feel guilty about it. Now I feel happy knowing my weekend is for fun things! I know I couldn't afford to do this if I were still living in Europe, but I'm in Asia now and I'm gonna enjoy the possibilities I have without feeling guilty. This week has been such an eye opener for me.

Just realising I could really do with subscribing to comments too...I shall do that today.

Just popped in because I'm so happy to be catching up a bit...just starting week 6...that's nearly halfway though!

I also wanted to say (yet again?) how amazing this process has been, and how powerful a support and motivator it has been to be part of this blog group.

I had picked up TAW a few times in the bookshop and every time I peeked inside something put me off...it seemed totally not what I was looking for...perhaps it was timing, but perhaps it's this group because this is exactly, perfectly and wonderfully what I have been needing for a long long time.

Thanks and Huge Hugs to all!

Hi to all you wonderful people! I hope you don't mind me butting in for a moment. I did week 12 a month and a half ago, and have been following your blog, as it's an inspirational touchstone for me. I've been blocked for many years in many ways, and am also recovering from years of chronic illness. So I haven't been unblocked over night, but I know TAW has put me on the right path. The thing that it did give me "over night" is the knowledge that creativity is a divine collaboration. The task where Julia said "God can take it" was pivotal for me. Previously I'd been giving only part of myself to the Creator (gratitude, sorrow, etc.) But when I 'got right up in God's face' and expressed the full force of my anger, fear, doubt, etc. I started to feel more wholly connected, accepted and supported. Yes, God can take it, understands it, and expects it (being omniscient and all!). Be open to all synchronicity, and not just things that further your artistic practice in an obvious way. Being artists, we speak symbolic and metaphorical languages. The Great Creator knows all languages, however personal, and can communicate with us through symbol and metaphor in dreams, waking life and art.

Thank-you for being such inspiring people! Keep it up and keep the faith!
